This Award seeks to recognise the achievement of Government projects and strategies in meeting client/public and organizational objectives through an emphasis on sound technology and engineering, best practice project/team management and the leadership required to bring together the disparate groups inside and outside Government necessary to deliver the required end result.

The Channel Awards are the most sought after awards in the industry, recognising excellence and exceptional performance. Comtec Enterprises was shortlisted for ‘Specialist Reseller of the Year.’

This is a great achievement as record number of entries was received this year.

Dorking Cricket Club (www.dorkingcc.co.uk) has long been the established place to play both competitive and friendly cricket in The Mole Valley and there are records of cricket in Dorking dating from 1771. The club has played on the ground in Pixham Lane for over a hundred years. It has provided total enjoyment for adult and youth playing members, and a social meeting place for its many supporters. Over time much has changed, but thankfully the ethos and spirit of its founders, the views from and toward its grounds and the drive to achieve through fair play has remained. The club currently runs three elevens in the Surrey Championship League on Saturdays and two sides play friendly cricket on Sundays. The future playing strength of the club should be drawn from over 180 junior members, from age 8 upwards, who receive regular coaching.

However, heritage and desire alone are often insufficient to achieve success and the current committee at Dorking Cricket Club have initiated a high impact development programme whose intent is to achieve greatness for the club. This programme forms an integral part of the clubs’ “Plan for the Future”, a strategy focussing on achieving excellence and enjoyment through the cautious investment in facilities and people.

The Claxson Group has ensured that its ICT company LatitudeUk has retained its ISO 9001 certification for 2009, this is an ongoing commitment for the group which is currently working on gaining 9001 for the other group companies as well as 27001 and 14001.
